DiSC training and profiling that gives your team a shared language they keep using

Communication styles clash in many teams, and many managers lead everyone the way they would like to be led. Everything DiSC gives your people a shared language for how they differ, with fewer misunderstandings and less friction. Four people with four different working styles: a direct, decisive leader; an animated, enthusiastic talker; a warm, patient listener; and a careful, analytical thinker checking detail

Most of the value of DiSC comes from the session where the team goes through their profiles together. People start to see that a colleague who frustrates them often just has a different style.

We have used Everything DiSC since 2020 as an Authorised Partner (Everything DiSC is published by Wiley), and we've run it with everyone from groups of graduates to executive teams. We use it to give a team a shared, judgement-free language for the differences that were already there.

Our DiSC sessions run from a three-hour virtual session to a full day in person, for anything from a one-to-one feedback session with a single leader to a team of 14, anywhere in the UK or virtually.

DiSC works in any sector, because it is about how people behave.

What is Everything DiSC profiling?

Everything DiSC is a workplace assessment that describes four behavioural styles: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. Each person's profile shows their own style, their priorities and what causes them stress. It also shows how they tend to respond to colleagues whose style is different from theirs.

Everyone completes the assessment online, usually a week or two before the session. It takes fifteen to twenty minutes and the report comes back immediately. The DiSC training is the session we lead afterwards, where the team sees a map of everyone's styles together and practises adapting to each other in real work situations.

We are big advocates of Catalyst, the online Everything DiSC platform. Everyone in the team can see their own DiSC style and their colleagues' styles, across the team and the wider organisation, with practical tips for working well with each person. It keeps DiSC part of everyday work long after the workshop, and helps people collaborate and get more done at every level of the business.

When teams bring us in for DiSC training

  • Teams where communication styles clash and patience is wearing thin
  • New teams that need to understand each other quickly
  • Managers who lead everyone the way they'd like to be led
  • Leaders who want clear insight into their own default style
  • Sales teams selling the way they like to buy
  • Conflict that comes from misreading each other's differences

Who this is for

This work is built for:

  • Teams who work together every day and will use the shared language
  • Leadership and management groups developing self-awareness
  • Sales teams adapting their style to their buyers
  • Organisations wanting one shared way of understanding people, from junior staff to senior leaders

It is not the right choice for:

  • Anyone wanting personality tests for recruitment screening (DiSC is not designed for this)
  • Sending out profiles with no session to talk them through
  • Labelling people to explain away problems

How it works

  1. Complete the DiSC profile

Everyone completes the Everything DiSC assessment online, backed by 40+ years of research and used by millions of people worldwide.

  2. Understand your own style

Each person discovers their own priorities, what stresses them and how they tend to behave by default first, before looking at the rest of the team.

  3. Map the team

The session brings the map of the team's styles to life: where the styles cluster, where the gaps are and why certain conversations keep going wrong.

  4. Apply it where it matters

We anchor the language into real situations: leadership (using the Work of Leaders profile), management one-to-ones, sales conversations or the team's own meetings and decisions.

Questions

What is DiSC training?

DiSC training is a workshop in which a team or group of leaders completes the Everything DiSC assessment, learns their own style and the styles of the people around them and practises adapting how they communicate. Inner Leader runs it for existing teams, managers, leaders and sales teams, in person across the UK or virtually.

Which DiSC profiles do you offer?

The full Everything DiSC range, with versions of the profile for everyday working relationships (Workplace), managers (Management), senior leaders (Work of Leaders), emotional intelligence (Agile EQ) and salespeople (Sales), plus Five Behaviours for teams that work together day to day. We'll recommend the right profile for your goal.

How is Everything DiSC different from free DISC tests online?

Everything DiSC is the version backed by research, where the questions adapt to each person's answers, used by millions of people across more than 100,000 organisations. Many free online tests use the same letters without the research behind them.

How long does a DiSC team session take?

A focused virtual DiSC session runs about three hours, and in-person sessions run from a half-day to a full day. In one recent participant's words: 'even though the session was almost three hours long, the time flew by.' In-person team days go deeper.

How long does the DiSC assessment take to complete?

Fifteen to twenty minutes online. People complete it a week or two before the session and the report comes back immediately, so the session time goes on the team map and on practice.

Do you run DiSC workshops in person or online?

Both. We run DiSC workshops in person anywhere in the UK, and a three-hour virtual session works well for teams spread across different locations. Group sizes run from a one-to-one session with a single leader to teams of 14.

Can DiSC be used for recruitment?

No. Everything DiSC is not designed for recruitment screening and we do not use it that way. We use it to help people who already work together understand each other and work better together.

What does it cost?

As a guide, the delivery of a half-day virtual DiSC session for a team of up to 14 people starts from £2,750 +VAT. Profiles are an additional cost for each person, on average between £65 and £100 +VAT per profile depending on which Everything DiSC profile is selected. We'll confirm a fixed price once we know your numbers and format.
